Kincaid Estate
Master bedroom and hallway

“That’s it guys get every single thing of his out of here. Now that I have my bedroom back and let’s hurry I have a funeral to attend.” She watched a steady as group of butlers and staff talking all of Steven’s belongs out of the house. Brenda knew that she’d have to fight twice as hard now. The fact that Hunter nor Anderson would be taking on their legacy now. She expected this from Hunter but Anderson not coming back home, she was dying to take a crack at Walter. It had been years since they’d been alone together. Tomorrow she’d report to him informing him that no Kincaid’s would be opposing him. Once again Hunter had a chance to prove he wasn’t a complete failure. It hurt her very much that when she reached out for him he closed her down, once again he hurt her deeply. Her entire life he’d been a reminder of her screw ups.

“Jessie please you take a few of Steven’s shirts and these cufflinks you always favored them.” She said smiling at their young chef who adored Steven’s fashion. The fashion she picked out for her husband. The political campaign she helped create and the power she lusted for was gone. Over the week Ophelia had been a rock for her. It was hard when reporters attacked Steven. At one time she did love him deeply. Her mind raced with thoughts of the past when he saw her daughter rushing upstairs. “Brooke sweetie you have to get those rollers in your hair. We only have a few hours until the funeral.”

Brooke snatched her father’s cufflinks and shirts Jessie’s hand. She looked frantic as she saw her mother for the callous bitch she was. How dare she not ask her children before hand? What type of person did this? She wanted some of her father’s belongs and here she was giving it away to servants and the staff. Brooke eyes flushed with tears as she spun around watching her father’s belongs be packed up. His life being thrown in boxes for Goodwill or the Salvation Army and the rest going into these people hands. She wouldn’t let her just box up her father’s memory.

“What in the hell are you doing?” Brooke growled at her mother. “He hasn’t even been in the grave yet and you’re ridding yourself of his things. Did you ask Hunter or Anderson if they wanted anything or are you just happy he’s dead? I won’t let you just glance over his his legacy. How dare you on the day of his funeral just throw him away! I’m not putting rollers in my hair because I’m not going anywhere with you! You are sick to just box him away. Just throwing him away are you drunk?”

Brenda walked to her daughter waving off her staff members trying to get her to see she wasn’t the enemy. She saw her daughter jump as she immediately went to work in her hair. Then looked at her daughter in shock, the look of hatred from Hunter she was used to. However Brooke had been sympathetic to her. “You have no idea how much I miss your father. Not his power but him. Sometimes seeing things of someone you lost it can kill you and deeply hurt you. I’m lonely now and I don’t have anyone to argue with anymore. I don’t have the urge to be creative or even go outside.”

Atlas Falls Recreation Center
Gymnasium

Kendrick looked around the gym at the local kids coming out for his annual charity basketball game his idea of giving back to a community that had been plagued with the poverty and the snubbing of the rich. Of course he didn’t tell anyone that the prize money was drug money or that Ronan had ran it clean for him, but he knew that people knew. He had watched these kids grow up on the streets and ever since Ronan’s father had taken him on when he saved Ronan’s life years ago he wanted to do the same. He smiled as the boys ran up and down the court bouncing the basketball against the varnished floors. He saw Yasmine enter the gym and waved to her as she made her way over to him.

“I’m glad you came how is your mother? I’ve been meaning to stop by but Ronan has been working me extra hard. Philip isn’t harassing you at the club is he?” Kendrick said watching her and then looking at the floor again the boys were having a ball. He felt a need to look after her always had since Gina died. “If he is hassling you I want you to tell me or Ronan.”

“Ronan don’t scare me big bro!” Yasmine said placing one hand on her hip as she smiled at Kendrick. Then she playfully grabbed his shoulder. “This is getting bigger and bigger every year. Gina would be so proud of you taking the money she hated and returning it to the community. I remember when you brought her a Gucci bag and she came home and she strutted around the house with that bag.” Yasmine eyes got big and filled with tears as she folded her arms. “Oh shit I didn’t mean any disrespect that wasn’t your fault Kendrick. Whoever killed my sister it wasn’t your fault. You hear me?”

Yasmine wiped her eyes it was Gina who thought of this. It was Gina who told Kendrick look out for the community and it looks out for you. It was also Gina who almost broke up Kendrick when their mom got hooked on the yayo that Kendrick was pushing. As a family unit they’d been through so damn much. “You know you’re my brother right? My niece or nephew was inside of Gina you my blood now.”

Club XES
The Locker Rooms

The bass from Iggy Azalea “Black Widow” boomed through the walls as she looked into mirror. How did she fucking get here? She was supposed to be dancing for the New York ballet company. A year ago Diamond was born. It wasn’t something she liked doing. Having men shove one dollar bills in her g-string wasn’t exactly where she thought she’d be. Yasmine Kohl brushed her long black hair from her face. Placing on her mask, to then look in the full length mirror she smirked. There she was. Diamond was here and tonight she was hoping for a thousand dollars at least. A few more months of this shit and her mom would be out of treatment. She saw Mercedes and the Russian talking across the room. Mercedes had gotten the crowd amped for her. Which was something she appreciated the more live the crowd, the more money she got.

Slowly accessing the room Club XES was packed. There was her boy. She hadn’t seen him in months. When Jackson Devonshire called her and said he needed some Molly. Folding her arms she rolled her eyes at Mercedes. All these bitches were the same. To be honest the all were mad Ronan and Kendrick showed her favor. She came to dance and make this money. Blowing a kiss at Eddie the DJ he waved at her and she knew it was time. Beyonce “Partition” started to play as she walked up the stage. Yasmine wasn’t ready but Diamond was. The mix of Partition quickly started to boom through the speakers of the club.

“Ok fellas ya’ll know we keep the baddest bitches on the East Coast! Are your ready for the Diamond in the rough? Ladies and gents I present Diamond.”
