Rachel is the only child of police commissioner Gideon and his wife Norah she was born and raised in Atlas Falls. Rachel grew up in the middle class of Atlas Falls but she has been close to Yasmine for years. Her father for some reason always found it fit to look after Yasmine’s mother Trisha when she would go down a bad path and as young girls Yasmine spent a lot of time at the Morrison’s house. When they reached middle school however Yasmine and her mother moved further into the ghetto and the visits became less and less though she and Yasmine maintained their friendship in school. She got good grades and eventually went to college at the local community school on a partial scholarship she tried to encourage Yasmine to go to only for Yasmine to choose another path. Her father had been serving the city for over ten years as police commissioner and often at times that annoys her with the police who can and do look out for her.

Rachel eventually worked her way through college working at a small cafe in town to pay her tuition with the help of her parents and got her degree in journalism. She went to work for the Atlas Falls Gazette out of college and after about a year of working there with a boss that prefered to want to turn the paper into a tabloid Rachel quit. Trisha was diagnosed with cancer and Rachel began to research the neighborhood that Yasmine and her mother had moved too figuring out that others were getting sick. She went to the paper and her old boss who shrugged the claims off deciding to take matters in into her own hands and seeing how close the neighborhood was to DGI she applied for a job as Hunter Kincaid’s secretary. She was hired a few months ago and has access to DGI when Hunter is there  conduct meetings on some of the carious city building projects that DGI is related to. She doesn’t have a lot of time for men or relationships the only thing she does want is to find out what has made Trisha and others so sick and get justice for them.
