Ophelia walked around the room with Tony it felt like old times and she wanted to shake her head at that, they weren’t together. If anything they were now just a team with their son, Tony had slipped the gun into her purse when they reached the party. Even though they had insisted on talking to Jamal tomorrow about it seeing him at the party she knew it had to be tonight. Of course there would be no scene when they did but it had to be done. Her son was into something that was worrying the entire family.

“Tony I see Mason with Selina. It has to be tonight. I don’t care if we are at Jackie’s function what if Jamal goes home and sees that we took the gun? What if it causes him to spiral even more?” Ophelia said looking at her ex husband seeing the hesitation on his face. Her eyes pleaded with him to not worry about pretenses for the evening this was bigger than some charity function. “Please Tony perhaps if we all talk to him tonight we can get to the bottom of this.

Tony lifted the champagne glass to his lips watching the room making sure his staff was doing what they were supposed to refilling drinks and passing out the food his mind however was elsewhere.with the gun that was in Ophelia’s purse. Jamal had a gun and he had no idea what his son was doing with one how had he overlooked so much? Had he been so consumed with the wedding making sure that Selina and Chauncey sealed the deal finally after the years of back and forth. Mason was doing his own thing had they let Jamal slip through their fingers with the fighting? Her words brought him back to the here and now.

“Unfortunately I think you are right we can’t wait till the morning something is going on with Jamal. Everyone is here tonight so we can all talk to him without trying to round everyone up tomorrow. I am sure Jackie will not mind if use one of her more private rooms here at the club for a few moments.” Tony said looking at her and seeing the pleading in her eyes they could take it privately to one of the rooms in the club Jackie wouldn’t mind and no one needed to be none the wiser. That was another perk of being friends with the Devonshire family. “Remember Ophelia this is about Jamal not you and Selina. Let’s go.”

Atlas Falls Country Club
The Grand Ballroom

“No I want the roses on every other table with the silver and the gold has the gardenias is anyone listening?” Merci said stomping her feet. Holding a clipboard she checked off a few things. Wearing a metallic Herve Leger dress and a pair of imported high heels. When she looked around it was stunning.

“You did it again Merci Dubois this place looks like a tropical oasis.”

When she turned around she saw Jackson standing in the doorway. When she was younger she was crazy about Jackson. Hell what young girl wasn’t? However growing up she moved on and they were friends. Let’s just say Jackson lived a life that Merci refused to deal with he was far too dangerous. Drugs and booze plus that girl Cat got killed with Jackson that night. People hadn’t forgotten at all. Moving her bang out of her face she smiled at Jackson as he approached her.

“So I heard you’re dating one girl why couldn’t I or Skye you know my best friend get that out of you?” She leaned in and kissed his cheek. “I missed you Jack it’s been quite boring without you.” Merci’s assistant Kyra came with two glasses of champagne. “This business is my new baby aren’t you proud of me? Oh you look so good all cleaned up. Skye would be really happy you look good and healthy.”

Jackson looked at Merci and remembered the wild nights with Merci, Skye, and Neil. Her eyes still sparkled as he walked up to her. He pulled her into a bear hug as he kissed her cheek. “Merci have you talked to Skye? How is she?” It was good and bad seeing Merci again. How he remembered that time of his life was scary. Skye was a drug as much as the coke. She was addictive and exotic. As he sat down at a table he picked up Jon Harrison’s card. Then scoffed at the thoughts of how he stole Skye from Jon.

As he looked at Merci. “I am so happy to see you.” Tapping his foot against the floor he looked at her. “So a grand party planner I heard that you’re doing good. I’m healthy and happy Merci you look good too. All that partying hasn’t slowed you down at all. Still trying to take on the world. Look that night that Neil passed out and you, me, and Skye did that thing. It was a mistake Merci I just wanted to tell you how special you are to me.”

“Skye is fine and I’m grateful to be here it was your pics in the newspapers with me that pushed this job to me. I have a bigger future now and I just wanted to say thank-you.” Merci leaned in and kissed him passionately on the lips. “If you ever get bored with Ms. Fraiser call me.” Turning around she saw guests outside and Dani scowling at her. “I think Dani isn’t too happy.”

Club XES
Philip’s Office

Ronan waved off most of his detail as he made his way into the club passing the strippers on stage doing what he considered to be the lesser known shift. It was early and later that evening he was going to the children’s hospital fundraising event. A good political and business move not to mention it was a chance for him to see Brooke again. He hadn’t seen her that much over the last few weeks but he did miss their time together. He had done something he never did before actually he went ahead and called in a favor to Dante for a dress for Brooke which checking his watch should be arriving to her at her brunch with her mother later. He was going to dance with her at the fundraiser and get his mind off his current predicament. Yasmine Kohl her debt was nearly paid to him she had exactly two payments left that she would be able to settle in the next week or two.

The problem was Yasmine was a top biller for the club, men liked her they flocked to her not to mention she ran his very expensive drugs to their more expensive clientele. It was needed when he needed to blackmail someone in the higher rankings of society. He knew Kendrick and Yasmine were close but he also had to have known that business came first to him at the end of the day. He held no ill will towards Yasmine, he had honored his agreement with her to pay for her mother’s last rehab and her hospital treatment for her cancer but he couldn’t just let her go either. Kendrick was the only man allowed into the office with him and he was grateful when Cassie had agreed to not to attend the meeting. Things with Thor were still tense and while he respected Cassie as Philip’s partner he also knew Thor would see it as a threat. Walking into the office he took a seat on Philip’s couch.

“I am glad you called to talk and you are right Yasmine is going to be a problem for the both of us. She brings in a lot of money Philip and you know that she is my go to for your rich upper crust of society friends. She is still vital to my operation.” Ronan said seeing Kendrick’s face out of the corner of his eye as Philip poured them a scotch. He knew Kendrick wouldn’t like the way this conversation went and he almost wanted to venture he wanted to not have it. “How are her numbers this month? I have heard good things about your new girl you hired as well.”

Episode 1×04 “Pretty Bird” released!

Episode 1×04 “Pretty Bird” released!

Scarlett Nichols went over her stock options in the folder at the kitchen table one of the things she had learned from her father, they had gotten rich off them at DGI and she refused to let that slip or stop her lifestyle. Her fingers tapped against the table as she checked her watch soon enough it would be time to go and look at what she needed. For now though she was content to make sure that her money was safe and so far it was DGI was up in stock for the quarter and she had a healthy deposit in her account. Moving her long brown hair over her shoulder she picked up the bellini from the kitchen table and took a drink a celebration everything was going according to how she needed it too. She thought about calling to find out where Mason was but knew better he was out they had an arrangement. She looked at her sparkling engagement ring in the sunlight, of course she and Mason hadn’t set a date yet but they would need to before Tony started to ask questions.

Tony was becoming more and more of a problem to her plans and her future, Tony Delacroix wanted her and Mason to set a date and well she wasn’t the girl to just marry and share. Mason and she were good friends or she liked to think they were friends she had been his cover for years so that Mason could avoid the truth to his father. Honestly for her however she was bored with playing the dutiful fiance to Tony unless there was something in it for her. The other problem she was running into was Dante Gonzales, Zach Fraiser’s other lover who in her mind was overstaying his welcome or not for long. Honestly Dante couldn’t do what she could for Zach provide for her female urges that Zach desperately craved if he could Zach wouldn’t still be sneaking around her with when the mood or the time suited him. She also liked the fact Zach was a cop, Zach could get her out of trouble if the time ever came and she needed it and Zach cared about her. Not that Mason didn’t but it was a very different situation with her and Zach versus her and Mason. She went to take another sip of her bellini when her condo doorbell rang it was a little after noon and she moved from the kitchen to the door seeing a flower delivery service on the other side.

“Delivery for Ms. Nichols.” The portly man said handing her the flowers along with a wrapped box as she signed for them.

Episode 1xo3 “By Darkest Day”

Guest starring: Anderson Kincaid (Gabriel Macht)

Kincaid Estate
Master bedroom and hallway

“That’s it guys get every single thing of his out of here. Now that I have my bedroom back and let’s hurry I have a funeral to attend.” She watched a steady as group of butlers and staff talking all of Steven’s belongs out of the house. Brenda knew that she’d have to fight twice as hard now. The fact that Hunter nor Anderson would be taking on their legacy now. She expected this from Hunter but Anderson not coming back home, she was dying to take a crack at Walter. It had been years since they’d been alone together. Tomorrow she’d report to him informing him that no Kincaid’s would be opposing him. Once again Hunter had a chance to prove he wasn’t a complete failure. It hurt her very much that when she reached out for him he closed her down, once again he hurt her deeply. Her entire life he’d been a reminder of her screw ups.

“Jessie please you take a few of Steven’s shirts and these cufflinks you always favored them.” She said smiling at their young chef who adored Steven’s fashion. The fashion she picked out for her husband. The political campaign she helped create and the power she lusted for was gone. Over the week Ophelia had been a rock for her. It was hard when reporters attacked Steven. At one time she did love him deeply. Her mind raced with thoughts of the past when he saw her daughter rushing upstairs. “Brooke sweetie you have to get those rollers in your hair. We only have a few hours until the funeral.”

Brooke snatched her father’s cufflinks and shirts Jessie’s hand. She looked frantic as she saw her mother for the callous bitch she was. How dare she not ask her children before hand? What type of person did this? She wanted some of her father’s belongs and here she was giving it away to servants and the staff. Brooke eyes flushed with tears as she spun around watching her father’s belongs be packed up. His life being thrown in boxes for Goodwill or the Salvation Army and the rest going into these people hands. She wouldn’t let her just box up her father’s memory.

“What in the hell are you doing?” Brooke growled at her mother. “He hasn’t even been in the grave yet and you’re ridding yourself of his things. Did you ask Hunter or Anderson if they wanted anything or are you just happy he’s dead? I won’t let you just glance over his his legacy. How dare you on the day of his funeral just throw him away! I’m not putting rollers in my hair because I’m not going anywhere with you! You are sick to just box him away. Just throwing him away are you drunk?”

Brenda walked to her daughter waving off her staff members trying to get her to see she wasn’t the enemy. She saw her daughter jump as she immediately went to work in her hair. Then looked at her daughter in shock, the look of hatred from Hunter she was used to. However Brooke had been sympathetic to her. “You have no idea how much I miss your father. Not his power but him. Sometimes seeing things of someone you lost it can kill you and deeply hurt you. I’m lonely now and I don’t have anyone to argue with anymore. I don’t have the urge to be creative or even go outside.”
