Look Inside the magical wedding for Hunter and Bliss!

When Hunter proposed to Bliss amid Dimitri coming back into town to cause havoc on the canvas by stalking her, divorcing her to try to marry Selina in a ploy and use Fox as a weapon we knew we wanted them to get married this season.  It had been mentioned a few times by Mason that the sooner they got married it was for the better as far as custody of Fox went a few times and they both considered eloping. We had one other major wedding we wanted to do with Jackson and Dani who actually eloped on the original one so it was a nice change of play instead to play that angle instead with Bliss and Hunter. So we wanted to give our readers the inside look into the magical Christmas wedding for them. Including their color scheme, some insight into the outfits, how they embraced their joining symbolically and the theme song. We do plan on making this a feature for our huge weddings on the show going forward so please enjoy!

The Dress and Bride

Chris: I knew from the inception of season 2 we’d have two very different but romantic and beautiful weddings. Bliss as the bride I wanted something dramatic but very soft. I thought that encapsulated Bliss character perfectly. At this moment Bliss deserved to be breathtaking in this flower shaped mermaid dress was what I settled on. The velvet bow details sold it due to Hunter’s tux.  The train in the back looks of petals and has hand beaded crystals on it. Accentuated with elbow length burgundy ballroom gloves, a heirloom tiara, and a lace veil.  I knew Bliss would be breathtaking and instead of something more traditional which she wore in her wedding to Dimitri. In this moment she got to pick her own style. This would be her last time walking down the aisle so Bliss went out with a classic and stunning gown.

The Groom and Fox

Kelly: So when Chris was planning season 2 and planned their Christmas wedding I knew that Hunter would go all out with romance and soft subtle lines showing their tender romance. So what did we do we started browsing images online for our characters and I happened to see this article on Brides.com about winter/fall weddings and fell in love with the idea of a velvet tuxedo. I then found this burgundy and evergreen tux inside of it that matched the sexiness of how the Kincaid mansion would be decorated as their backdrop and was sold. I loved the softness of the lines that velvet would bring and the soft touch it would be plus how sexy Hunter would look standing there in the dim glow of Christmas lights wearing it at the altar and Fox as his best man, in a mini matching tux.

The Unity Candle

Kelly: When we were talking about the wedding for Hunter and Bliss we both thought that to signify that Hunter was not only taking Bliss as his wife but Fox as his son it made sense for them to signify that moment where they joined their life together. For Hunter it is reflective of his entire identity as Steven Kincaid’s son being the man that takes on a wife and step son and unifying with her symbolically. He never actually lit a unity candle with Max as they had more of a secular wedding ceremony so I knew that for him he would want to do something different with Bliss. It’s not just about him and his new wife, he is joining with her and her son and what better way to signify that than literally joining a candle together?

Chris: When two becomes one is what comes to mind with the unity candles. I think this signifies the sincerity of Hunter and Bliss in this moment. They are two souls becoming one and that’s what really makes this perfect. In all of the darkness of Dimitri reign he’s created light in Fox. Fox the innocence and Bliss other great love without accepting Fox, she couldn’t love Hunter so fully. This symbolically is Bliss finally letting go of her baggage also with Dimitri and I think this moment is truly special to Hunter and Bliss.

The Colors Burgundy/Evergreen/White

We knew that we wanted Hunter and Bliss married on Christmas so we knew that a family like the Kincaid’s would be draped in luxurious red and green and when I found Hunter’s tux and Chris found Bliss’s dress we were like this is perfect for them. White, represents purity and a fresh start which is perfect for both Hunter and Bliss being their second marriage a piece and a union of their families with Fox.  Red/Burgundy, represents passion, energy and excitement something that fits both their personalities well and how they have grown as a couple. Green/Evergreen, represents renewal, rebirth and a balancing of emotions which given what Bliss has been through with Dimitri and Hunter had been through with Max it made it the perfect scheme for them.

The Song “Never Let Me Go” by Florence and the Machine

Chris: How did I pick a song about drowning and turn it into Hunter and Bliss’s wedding song? Well it was simple I if you look at the lyrics it truly fits Bliss situation with Dimitri and Hunter. Hunter is her place to rest her head and he’s her ocean. She feels so guilty for leaving Fox and feels as if she is a sinner and heaven has given her Hunter. Bliss was programmed to feel unworthy of love and this is devotion that Hunter has delivered Bliss to the other side. This song is beautifully haunting if you think of it with that in mind with the lyrics and how Florence sings that she’s going under but not giving up. Bliss was broken but she didn’t give up on life, love, having a family, and being whole again. I can go on and for a long time but this is my pick for their wedding song.

Jon looked in the mirror and loved Christmas. It was the one time of the year his entire family was all together. Robbie came down with his wife Julia and his nieces and nephews. Noah and Marisol were there with the twins and Miranda would be cooking this year. Something new but she insisted because KC was back and she wanted to give him a good Christmas with Quinn. As he adjusted his tie looking in the mirror Jon was proud of the man before him. He’d overcome every obstacle thrown at him. Except one he wasn’t a father everyone else had children but him and he was starting to feel like it wouldn’t happen. Cassie seemed like she just didn’t want children, and the notion of even talking about it seemed to give her the vapors. To be honest recently with Dani having her twins he was beginning to believe he made the wrong choice between Skye and Cassie. At least he knew Skye wanted a family because the way her aunt threw her away. She wanted children to love and he wanted that more than he let on. Devin told him to tell Cassie but how do you tell someone that if they aren’t ready to have children then you believe it’s time to move on? He walked to the bedroom and picked up his cellphone and scrolled through logs on the RICO case against Ronan. Thor had survived and David had been informed when Ronan picked Thor up that’s when they’d arrest them. They’d do a massive sweep with cell teams together to take him down. When he saw a message from Philip his eyes got wide.

Never trust a Montgomery…. Everyone knows but you it’s quite the secret Jon. You are a detective and you haven’t figured it out…. Such a shame you’ll go down in history as the fool…. Everyone knows but you…

He was sick of he secrets and now apparently Philip Montgomery knew whatever the fuck everyone was hiding from him. He texted him back and asked him what he was talking about. Jon heart skipped a beat. What was everyone hiding from him? He wanted to find that wheelchaired trickster and kick his ass. Licking his lips he looked at his phone reading the message again. Then repeating the words everyone knows what but me? Jon walked down the stairs seeing Cassie in the most beautiful dress he’d ever seen. She looked magical almost tonight but he didn’t have time to get caught up in her beauty. He had to know. He had to figure out what was going on. “You know ever since you got back from New York you haven’t been the same. I can see something has changed in your eyes. Or maybe it’s something I’m doing or I’m not around enough but I want to fix it. I have so much I need to talk to my woman about. You are so important to me so this conversation was going to be saved after the wedding but I need more. I can’t go without having what I want anymore because life is too short. Cassie I want children and I want to know what you’ve distanced yourself from me. Is it because of Miranda?” Jon asked, trying to put it all together as he rubbed his nose.

ATLAS FALLS DECEMBER 1980

Lowell stepped off of the elevator of the new DGI building. Regan was absolutely correct America was the greatest country on fucking earth. Tapping his foot on the ground he turned to look in the mirror. His face was looking absolutely fucking perfect. Hell he knew that his team that he put together had done amazing. Tomorrow the company would go public  and he had a few things to handle tonight though. Tonight he would show all these people whom he Lowell had deemed betrayed him who the hell he was. Lowell had put them all together for different reasons. Walter was a genius with technology, Harvey’s international connections were strong, Pierre was the best accountant in the world, Forbes mind in business rivaled his own and Gloria was the toughest woman he’d ever seen in business. He trusted her with his life and she had given him the information so it was time to strike before the snakes bit him. Looking down the table he saw Forbes conversing with Harvey, Pierre speaking with Gloria, Walter and Jackie. One of Gloria’s new lawyers was right by her side, Julian O’Sullivan. He walked to his wife and cleared his throat. As he saw everyone sitting down. “How do you all like the new office?” He asked rhetorically knowing everyone was impressed. They went from an office at a stripmall a couple of years ago to this. Walter’s tech had taken them far but his vision was about to take his family to the next level.

“Tonight we go public at twelve o’clock and our annual Christmas party will be bigger than ever before. The powerful of Atlas Falls and the country will be attending to see us the way we see construction, oil, technology, and fucking real estate will make us the rich men in America. The goal is not to conquer one field but all. Make a brand so powerful that everyone knows it’s name DGI is here gentlemen and tonight the city will glow with those letters on top of this very building. But you’re wondering where do each of you sit power wise right? Ten percent. I’ll retain eleven of course, making us the strong hold and giving us the power. Tomorrow we change the game like we’ve been doing since the beginning of the decade. We did it tonight is all about reaping the rewards. Smile I just told you all you’re fucking millionaires.” Raising his hands theatrically and clapping he saw their faces. They were shocked and all elated the pain of tonight would hurt even more. When Louise arrived with a bottle of champagne he smiled. “To us, to DGI.”

Forbes leaned back in his chair staring at Harvey then his eyes shifted to Gloria’s shock and unease. Whatever was going on that bitch had a clear part of this. Ever since he came on board of DGI he saw how Gloria was fighting to be Lowell’s right hand. She truly disliked Walter and he but she was too fake and passive aggressive to ever blatantly open her mouth and say it. Tony was a fool to marry that woman because she was a snake. Jeremiah Beecher was also her lover and he was disgusted with the Delacroix family as a whole. The woman clearly was wearing the pants and Tony was cooking. It was laughable but Lowell wouldn’t stand for her betraying his prized friend Tony. Their friendship was confusing and maybe he was crazy but he felt Gloria was holding something over Lowell’s head. Or she had placed something in his head. Watching Lowell fucking pretending to be king, when all of there connections and power had gotten him to the top. Was a hard pill to swallow but what was worse? Knowing his fucking wife was fucking the pompous fuck. Audrey and he were having problems but Philip had changed that or so he thought. The feelings of inadequacy that he felt was explosive. The jealousy that ate at him, because of all of this should have been his. He should have a wife like Jackie who wouldn’t dare betray him. His lip quivered, fighting back the emotion to not snap Lowell’s neck.

“Toast, to you Lowell the man who has brought all of this together. Turning us from mere men in the world of business into Gods.” Forbes swallowed the champagne with fury. Standing up he walked to Harvey and patted his shoulder. “I do hope you remember our conversation earlier about what’s next. We always should be looking forward, don’t you agree Lowell? What is next after Walter’s tech changes computers and technology as we know it. What’s next Lowell?” Forbes asked curtly but not giving him time to respond. “I guess we will all find out when another one of our ideas has your name on it. I’ll see you all at the party.” Forbes said walking out with the champagne flute in hand as he walked down the hallway of the new DGI he threw it against the wall as he walked to the elevator.

Greer dusted her cheeks in her vanity with blush. Today was her big day and her father had told her that this was her second chance to help the LeClerq family. After all Harvey and daddy had done they could after the Devonshire’s and everyone betrayed them. They were left out in the cold. Not only that but her father went to jail for a crime he didn’t commit. Her uncle had raised her for a period and she wouldn’t forgive what they did to their family. Revenge was so close. This scandal would be enough for MontCorp stock to dive. That was exactly what they needed. Her uncle had a dummy company that MontCorp would buy and from there they’d take over. If they had enough stock from the stockholders from this scandal. Forbes was about to partner with a rapist and if she could take them down while seeming like she’s helping. Greer heard keys in her condo door and her father was back. Walking to her robe she slipped it on to tighten it around her tiny waist. Strolling down the stairs she saw her handsome father and she rushed into his arms. She kissed his cheeks as he raised her off the ground. “Father.”

Greer looked into his eyes and knew he wasn’t happy with her. She wasn’t about to compromise her relationship with Brock to take down the Devonshire’s. She however knew that he was what he wanted last time she was sure he was about to declare her relationship with Brock over. She was ready for it. As her eyes narrowed seeing someone extend their arm out with flowers. Her favorite flower white roses. Whomever this was knew her and she let go of her father and took the flowers from the mysterious arm and gasped when her uncle stepped out. Before Greer knew it she began to become emotional just seeing her uncle in America. He swore off the country after they railroaded her father. As she kissed his cheeks holding Harvey tightly in her arms. “Oncle Harvey, qu’est-ce que tu fais ici?”

“Well I am here to talk to you about what your father thought you should be doing. We just had quite the conversation. I explained that you aren’t a weapon to be constantly used.” Harvey said sternly looking at his brother then turning on the charm. “I’m here to meet with an old friend but that isn’t to be discussed. I’m here to explain if you don’t want to go after Chauncey Devonshire ever again, we both support you. I however do think you are better than a Fraiser but I digress.” Harvey walked to the couch and looked at the skyline of Atlas Falls and felt his heart swelling. “I haven’t been in this city in a long time. My thinking is much more cerebral than your father. He swings the axe of vengeance, I prefer a much more different tactic. Do I believe Forbes and Lowell deserve to pay absolutely and do I want them to hurt badly deeply. I don’t think you should have to carry our burdens. So I’m here to ask you Greer if you want to continue. If you don’t then I assure you that I or your father will go meet with Forbes and the Montgomery’s today.” Harvey crossed his arms “Cher frère, dis ce que tu dois penser. Vous ne pouvez pas croire que c’est sain pour Greer?”

Pierre has been prepared to tell Greer to go back into the Devonshire fold at the moment they were winning and as much as his little agreement with Forbes had worked for now, it was time to cut their losses and get back on track with revenge against Lowell. He was tired of waiting around and playing games with Forbes and watching as Tess Blisston got her happy ending with Lowell while all the hard work and planning had been for nothing when it came to Zerick and Greer. It was also the reason he had moved on to his revenge on Walter too everyone was so focused on Forbes and the drama with Dimtiri it made his new alliance with Dru, an alliance that his brother nor Greer needed to know about. His brother simply because old wounds were hard to ignore when it came to Harvey and his love hate relationship with Altas Falls and seeing how he still carried a torch for an older but still vibrant certain brunette in town well he wasn’t going to take his chances. His plan with Dru would make sure that his attention was not just on Lowell but on the other man that had testified against him Walter everyone forgot that little part of their past in town that it was Walter who had confessed on the stand that he embezzled and for a time it was the one thing that broke apart his brother and that ungrateful bitch that was Walter’s wife. He was not so quick to forget or maybe Harvey had went soft whatever the case he wanted to make sure that both Walter and Lowell got what was coming to them.

Yasmine was wearing an oversized Fendi sweater and pair of YSL knee length high heel boots. She had a plane ticket to Atlas Falls; she couldn’t be on the plane with Forbes. She was infuriated that he fucking used her in such a flagrant and obvious way. How did she not see the signs that she was a puppet for Forbes? She was so annoyed with this rich shit. It was all manipulation and a quest for even more power. She was ready to take off the Montgomery last name already. As she walked to the bar and ordered a free coffee then she walked to the desk. When she heard a girl screaming at the concierge at the desk. Her long blonde hair and thick New York accent reminded her of Tamara. When she heard her say Tamara’s name and slamming her hand on the desk. Yasmine’s ears perked up as she walked over to the woman she tapped her shoulder waving at the concierge. “Hello.” She said looking at the other woman. Stepping back a little not shocked that the girl had the attitude.

“My name is Yasmine Kohl.. Montgomery.” She said looking at the blonde who reminded her of Tamara, Yasmine said as she looked at her. “I know Tamara and you are? I can take you to her room. I’m her boss’s sister and if you think something is not right with Tamara we can handle this together. What makes you assume she’s not alright or something is wrong? Tamara had a really hard day and I think she might be decompressing. Hell miss we’ve all had a hell of a night last night. My entire family was embarrassed due to some bullshit. Can I ask who you are?” She said looking at the girl. 

Mimi had fought through traffic for hours to get to the hotel and now this bitch receptionist behind the counter was refusing to tell her where Tamara was. It infuriated her that it wasn’t like her sister to not call her back after making plans with her while she was visiting, unless her sister had stepped out to her old stomping grounds and that made her heart sink.  Her sister had fought her demons so hard this time with her addiction she was in a good place with Braden and Dylan even planning a small ceremony later in the year for them and so for her to relapse again would break her heart. She tapped her fingers on the counter for a moment while the woman behind the counter looked at her snidely and she slammed her hand on the counter getting fed up with being ignored because she wasn’t high class or rich enough to get a room here. “Listen sweetie go get your fucking manager before I really start showing off my Bronx side out here.” Mimi said her voice rising as she felt people staring at her outburst and she pulled her purse closer to her body watching as the woman no doubt went to waste more time to hunt down a manager and keep her waiting. Reaching for her phone again she tried to call her sister for it to go to voicemail again. “Damnit.” 

Turning around she bumped right into a young woman that looked at least in college and she recognized her from the news conference the other day Forbes’s daughter she thought. When the girl confirmed that for her she nodded at her not sure what else to say. “Listen, my sister’s idea of decompressing is not locking herself inside a hotel room while she is in New York. She called me and then ghosted me. She doesn’t do that shit at least to me.” Mimi said looking at Yasmine she wasn’t sure if she was actually going to take Yasmine’s help or not no one was really happy that her sister had decided to work for creepy Forbes Montgomery. She was desperate though when it came to finding out where her sister was either she was inside the hotel decompressing as Yasmine had said or high. Or the worst case scenario was that she left the hotel after making a few bad decisions on her way out of the hotel to chase her down because she was so late due to the weather and had left her phone inside the room. “I’m sorry that was rude. I’ve had a long last few hours fighting traffic and the storm to get here and I’m cranky. I’m just worried for her you know? It’s not always been easy for her and when she goes radio silent like this it causes all of us to worry. Then I get here and no one in the hotel will tell me what room number she is or give me a key to her room so I can at least make sure she is in there, let along okay. So yes if you can help me please I would really appreciate it.” Mimi said looking at Yasmine.
