Ronan is the only son of former mob boss Michael and his wife Olivia Madden he was born and raised in New Jersey coming to Atlas Falls when he was in high school and his father began to take over new territory in Atlas Falls. From the time he was a young man he began to know the ropes of the business that he knew one day he would inherit. His parents bought a massive mansion in Atlas Falls and thanks to their illegal wealth most of high society accepted them, his father was a fair mobster something that Ronan still struggles with today. He was in college when his parents were horrifically gunned down outside of the mansion, in what he knows was a mob hit. Kendrick dived on his father’s orders to save his life  He cradled his mother in his arms and his father passed on his final words as he lay dying. It was after his father’s death when he learned that Carla Luciano’s son was his half brother and it did turn his entire world upside down as the more he he learned about his father the more he realized he didn’t know him as well as he thought. He has hated Thor from the day he found out about his existence.

Ronan graduated college and then formally took over Madden Enterprises and began taking over his father’s business contacts which included both Steven Kincaid the former mayor of Atlas Falls and Lowell Devonshire. His main source however has been money laundering and the drug trade which is something the police and FBI have never been able to pin on him he covers his tracks well, a little too well. When he suspected that Gina Kohl was going to rat on his organization he unknown to Kendrick had her taken care of something he has lied to his friend about for years blaming the drive by on another gang. Women are not something he lets easily into his life he has his female companions most notably a stripper at Philip’s club named Mercedes. If anything he fears the fate of his mother will bestow a woman if he falls in love with them and he would rather not experience the pain that accompanied him around when his mother died. Once Steven is murdered however and he meets Steven’s daughter Brooke he is wondering if in fact love is something one can not avoid.

Season 1

Ronan Madden continued to run the town with his drugs and various criminal activity he had his trusted right hand man Kendirck by his side. He encountered Brooke at the ski resort upon her arrival in town and even consoled her about her issues with her parents and her heartbreak in Europe. He also ordered the hit on Benny Ruzzio going as far as to putting a bullet in the man himself which terrified Jamal when he witnessed it. After fighting their feelings for one another, Ronan was shot when he found her near Steven’s grave months later and the two began a relationship. Kendrick was increasingly jealous of his growing relationship with Brooke and Ronan was under constant fear for her life. Ronan was arrested shortly after the two first made love at the now Crestwood hotel and for Steven’s murder. Ronan lied to Brooke telling her that he did murder her father for her protection while in jail leaving her heartbroken, Kendrick made a grab for power as well. He survived a botched murder attempt in prison from Brenda Kincaid when Kevin Nixon disguised as a guard rescued him. He was thrilled when the police had to release him and eat crow when Kendrick got to be too much to handle. He and Brooke reunited only for it to be short lived when Kendrick went on his crime spree, Ronan took back his power blackmailing Lowell to make him a casino partner and ordering a hit on Kendrick if he was taken alive by police, after the shooting he also planted the narrative that Jon shot an innocent Kendrick to the crowd starting the rioting downtown.

Season 2

Ronan had has his half-brother’s power due to Thor wanting out of the mob and he went back to his wild ways. Still reeling from letting go of supermodel Brooke Kincaid because of his lifestyle he seduced her one last time completely breaking her heart afterwards. Gia Falcone arrived for a meeting and the two began a game of cat and mouse, which concluded with them having sex in his warehouse and then him agreeing to a truce with her family, unknown to him she was faking and wanting revenge on him. While Gia was in New York on a business trip he went to Club XES where he bumped into Dru and the two had sex and he was intrigued by the redhead beauty who seemed to not have a care about her unknown to him that she was Brooke’s half-sister. He began to suspect that something was amiss with Gia when his organization was hit heavy and Thor almost was killed. Eventually things came to a head when Thor and Ronan got the shock of their lives when KC Rhodes turned up with the FBI alive and arresting them both at the warehouse during a mob shoot out with police.
