Miranda is the only girl in a long list of brothers born to local detective Robert and his wife June Harrison. She is the last of three older brothers and has always been a bit of a tomboy. She grew up next door to the Fraiser family and she and Dani have been best friends since preschool. She is smart and outgoing a bit of a loud mouth and has always wanted one thing to be able to prove to her family that girls can be public servants as well as her brothers and father could. Her mother tried to get her into makeup and clothes when she was younger but she always seemed to want to roll in the mud with the boys more instead. She had a few boyfriends in high school and nothing too serious, she was heartbroken when her older brother Jon went into the Army. Her friendship with Dani was tested too when after high school they went their separate ways to different colleges.

She stayed and went to Atlas Falls University and it was during a routine traffic stop a few years later where she met KC Rhodes. She and KC began a relationship. Eventually she found out he was an FBI agent and they were married in a small intimate ceremony, Dani was her maid of honor and she was happy her father and her brothers approved of Matthew. She and Matthew moved to Washington for his job with the FBI and she gave up her early career in law enforcement. They settled into life in Washington very well and a year later welcomed their daughter Quinn into their lives. Tragedy struck three years ago and KC was killed while undercover. Miranda was devastated when KC died and decided to honor his memory by wanting to take down the man that killed him in Ronan Madden she moved back home and behind her family’s backs she went ahead and applied for VICE where she passed and became Zach Fraiser’s partner. She and Devin six months ago began a relationship feeling like she was finally ready to move on from the horror of Matthew dying. She is assigned to work at Club XES and bring down Ronan’s organization from the outside in even if that means using people like Yasmine Kohl to avenge Matthew’s murder.

Season 1

Miranda started the season in a new position when she and Zach were moved to the VICE detective unit something she had been working towards for the last few years since her husband KC’s death. She also began a relationship with her brother and deceased husbands friend Devin Thompson, initially they kept their relationship hidden. Eventually Jon learned the truth and he was quite disappointed in her and she and Devin began to grow apart while she was working undercover as Mia at Club XES. While undercover as Mia she grew close to Yasmine and formed a relationship while attempting to catch Ronan in an intense game of cat and mouse. She also wasn’t thrilled when she saw her brother making eyes at Skye again and told Skye as much. At the Fraiser annual firework party she saw sparks fly between Devin and Merci which only angered her, and she demanded Merci stay away from Quinn. She was nearly ran over only for a mysterious man to shove her to the ground and Jackson to realize she was Mia from the club. When Yasmine didn’t show up for work she went to the rest of the force and then went to search for her, she was mortified when Dani was kidnapped. When Kendrick was shot she immediately supported her brother during the shooting. In the end Miranda ended her relationship with Devin after the shooting unknown to her that their was a figure watching her and Quinn safely from afar.

Season 2

Miranda started off the season supporting her brother through the trial of Kendrick’s shooting and trying to keep Quinn away from comments other kids had made at school about it. At the 4th of July BBQ at Lake Everest Dylan wandered into the woods and sprained his ankle when he returned he shocked everyone that he had seen KC. Miranda, Jon, Zach and Devin went into the woods concerned that Dylan had hit his head or worse Ronan had put someone on Miranda for being Mia. Instead she was shocked to see KC alive and well and it was revealed that he and the FBI had faked his death. She was furious and sought Dani’s advice, her friend told her to take her second chance. Still torn she and KC walked on eggshells afterwards with him needing to stay hidden while the FBI was working on RICO charges with Ronan and Gia. She was shocked when after picking up Quinn one afternoon her daughter told her that Skye had given Uncle Jon’s baby away. Miranda figured out the truth and even told Cassie about it who begged her to not tell Jon, Miranda was torn on what to do. She eventually confronted Skye over Miles where she pointed out Skye was an outcast and Jon would never accept what she had done. Skye countered that Jon was still in love with her and she was the mother of the child, he’d choose her. Miranda left her with an ultimatum she could tell Jon or she would. When the truth came out Jon lashed out at her causing strain between the siblings and strain between she and Dani as friends whens he learned Dani knew and didn’t say anything either. She and KC gave their marriage another go and with the police finally arrested Ronan and Gia after Jackson and Dani’s wedding where Ronan recognized her as Mia.
