Third born to Richard and June Harrison, Jonathan Vincent Harrison was always one of Atlas Falls golden boys. Jon grew up a basketball phenom and quickly was a talent from the town. Growing up in a middle class in Atlas Falls, Jon was happy and very content. He shared a friendship with Devin Thompson, Braden Fraiser, and Zach Frasier. When Devin was pulled to the streets their friendship was damaged. He entered high school he became sweethearts with Victoria Fitzgerald and they dated until senior year, before they went their separate ways to college. Jon made the choice to give up basketball in college and follow his brothers into the military. Before his deployment he developed a deep friendship with Dani Fraiser. Jon fell in love with her but she still needed to find her way and finish growing up. So Jon walked away never telling her his feelings.

Jon would be in Iraq during the war, leading a group that he considered brothers and sisters he was proud. In Iraq his troop was bombed and attacked leaving Jon and Hannah as sole survivors. After this he retired with letters he never got to mail to Dani. When he returned Jon had PTSD and quickly fell into a relationship with Skye Morgan. Skye and Jon’s relationship was tainted and she even had him use a few times. Robbie, Miranda, and Noah got Jon away from Skye after she cheated on him. Jon would get sober and get help with his issues with the war. During this period he returned to school and finished his college degree in criminal justice. After years of not speaking to Devin they are now partners. Jon has no clue Devin is dating his little sister who he is deathly protective of.

Season 1

Jon was content at the beginning of the season to get a new partner at the police station in Devin Thompson and keep his long term crush Dani at bay as long as he could. It helped that he had Steven Kincaid’s murder to thank for that as he and Devin were assigned to find out who killed the famous mayor and his lover, mob heiress Carla Luciano on Steven’s birthday. Over the weeks they summarized and tried to think of who did the deed and set their sights on Ronan Madden as their prime suspect. Along the way he finally asked Dani to dinner where he was pissed to learn he was too late she was already seeing Jackson Devonshire someone he felt ruined his relationship with Skye Morgan in the past. Turning back to the investigation he lashed out at Devin over it saying some off colored remarks and then learning that Devin was sleeping with his sister was even more upsetting, they had  brief falling out over it. He then began a dangerous flirtation with Cassie Montgomery who had ties to Club XES and possibly Steven’s murder, not to mention mobster Thor Luciano. Once she was free of Thor the two shared some steamy kisses which lead to him taking her home later in the night and bedding her. They eventually began a relationship based on their mutual attraction it lasted for a while until she felt Jon was getting to close to the truth about Club XES and her connection to Ronan Madden, she called off the relationship. Skye re-entered the picture and the two quickly fell back into the habit of casual sex again much to the dismay of his entire family and his sister. Jon continued to be torn over everything with Skye and Cassie only for his sister to become friends with Yasmine Kohl. He went to Braden when he realized that Ronan hadn’t killed Steven and asked him to be released not wanting to catch him on false charges. Instead Yasmine was kidnapped, then Dani was setting him off emotionally during everything wanting Kendrick brought in. Skye would show up at the police station in the middle and Jon promptly told her they were done leaving her heartbroken and he went on with Devin to set up the sting to catch Kendrick. Kendrick refused to comply at the exchange using Dani as a body shield and he was forced to take a shot killing Kendrick afterwards he was put on administrative leave. He and Cassie would reunite when she showed up to support him through that time and he told her he was in love with her.

Season 2

Jon was still on administrative leave throughout the summer and after Gideon was killed, he was also being sued by Dinah Watkins for her sons’ murder he spent the summer being prepped for his trial by Mason and Braden who had agreed to be his lawyers. He and Cassie were still together going as far as to her buying a condo and him moving in with her. Jon’s trial began with various people taking the stand and him having to sit and remain silent as his he had to let his lawyers handle it. Towards the end he took the stand revealing that his entire unit was killing in Iraq and he struggled with guilt for killing a boy who held a weapon, it was also revealed that Kendrick’s father was a war veteran that got caught into anger and drugs when he came home. With the police video cam footage revealed at the trial Jon was cleared of any wrong doing and much to the dismay of Elliot Duvall Jon and Dinah made peace with one another. Jon continued on with Cassie even proposing to her not knowing she held a dark secret that she knew would destroy them. Jon carried on running into Whitney and Ryan with their son Miles at an ice cream shop before Dani’s wedding. Christmas eve Jon received a mysterious text where he learned the truth from Cassie that Miles was his son with Skye and she had given him away to Whitney and Ryan and Cassie had planned on lying to him the rest of their relationship. He confronted Skye at the hospital after Thor had been shot where she confessed the truth and that other people knew like Cassie, Miranda and even Dani knew. He was furious and then went to Skye’s house where the two angrily had sex over the reveal and then he demanded to see Miles. Skye reluctantly agreed and they arrived at the Hessington estate where he realized it was a losing battle. Angry and lashing out he took a dark turn having Skye move in with him, tossing Miranda out of his life and breaking off his engagement to Cassie. At Jackson and Dani’s rehearsal dinner he exposed all the lies including Dani’s cover up of knowing Miles and the fact that she had asked him to kill Dimitri for Braden, while drunk in turn he was thrown out. Later he would go a run down bar on the other side of town and have unprotected sex with a mysterious woman named M, who later turned out to be Maggie Thorpe. He refused to attend the wedding only to be forced when Dimitri escaped and went straight there to kidnap all his victims. In the flash-forward he, Devin, Miranda and Zach were called to the lake where a fisherman had discovered Dimitri’s rotting body while trolling.
