Jackie was born and raised in Oquirrh Hills a upper class subdivision in Atlas Falls and her family has owned the Atlas Fall Country Club for over fifty years. Her mother was a stay at home housewife and her father ran the club providing lavishly for her and her younger sister Kathleen. Thomas and Ruth doted on their two little girls and Jackie never had to want for anything. The girls were highly competitive as children which led to strain later in their adult relationship. Jackie was a beauty at a young age winning contestants left and right and was part of the beauty pageant competition circuit. She was also very bright and got average grades throughout school and should those grades be less than stellar her father just had to make a call. The Davis family is very influential in the city she and Steven Kincaid grew up as close friends. In high school she and Steven became lovers with thoughts of marrying only for her to be left heartbroken when Brenda Thorpe managed to steal Steven’s eye. Jackie went to Atlas Falls University and decided to study business with a minor in art, where she met young Lowell Devonshire. Lowell courted her for much of their freshmen year though she was still seeking affection from Steven deep down, eventually when Steven proposed to Brenda Jackie gave her heart over to Lowell and the two made love.

Her parents were unsure of a union from her and Lowell pointing out Lowell had yet to make a name for himself. Jackie became friends with Gloria Delacroix and Lauren Fraiser and when Lowell came up with the plan for a company for DGI Jackie felt it was finally the moment her parents would accept him. She went along with the plan to steal sole ownership of DGI from Walter and Lauren and learned she was pregnant, her parents threw her the biggest wedding Atlas Falls had seen next to Brenda’s, Chauncey was born the same day Lowell made his first million at DGI. Things were well between she and Lowell and she stood by him for decisions at DGI that she knew were semi shady, she was horrified when after the birth of their twins Jackson and Max when she walked in on Lowell fucking his secretary at DGI Tess Blisston. Jackie left and Lowell assured her the affair was over firing Tess and they started to repair their marriage. She agreed to not divorce Lowell when their friend Gloria Delacroix died of cancer and she saw how destroyed their close friend Tony was. She took over the country club when her father passed and learned later she was pregnant for the final time, they welcomed their last child Rory into the family. While her marriage to Lowell has never always been happy they have their share of problems from Lowell’s past with his own parents, her favoritism of their drug addicted son, DGI’s often shady practices she does love her husband deeply even when the sting of betrayal is now in her face with the arrival of Bliss Lowell’s daughter with Tess that he has hidden from her.

Season 1

Jackie was happy and content to continue on with the quid pro quo that she and Lowell had gotten accustomed to over the years meaning for her to turn a blind eye to his indiscretions and the many flaws of her children. When Bliss turned up in town she actually hated the girl for the painful reminder that Lowell’s affair was in her face and refused to accept it. Eventually she told Lowell that she would try and accept it on one condition he had to give Jackson her favorite a fair shot at the company, he reluctantly agreed. She butted heads with Brenda Kincaid over Max and Hunter’s relationship, as she felt Bliss and Hunter were hurting her little girl Brenda informed her it was Max who had an affair and she was an exact replica of Lowell. When Greer began to sniff around Chauncey and the company she let it be known that Greer needed to not be one of his many women in a harem on the eve of his marriage to her goddaughter Selina, when it happened she was furious and confronted Greer later telling the girl that she was watching her. When she discovered Jackson’s secret relationship with Dani she actually went to Lauren about it and the once one time friends were left at a standstill Lauren having her doubts and Jackie begging her to allow it for her son’s sake. She had actually hoped that Rory would find romance with Brooke Kincaid and then had to resign herself to the fact that Rory was in fact in love with a stripper from Scottswood Yasmine Kohl much to her disgust. When she learned Dani was pregnant she was elated as she felt Jackson had finally found the right woman and happiness and she would be a grandmother again. She and Lowell also learned about his ALS diagnosis with David Rhodes and she was crushed at the news, eventually even breaking down to Bliss of all people. Bliss finally told her about Fox and Dimitri and Jackie put aside her hate of Tess to actually form a bond with Bliss over it and welcomed her into the family. Tess delivered a stunning blow to her that the affair never ended and she was crushed at the news even contemplated a divorce. Instead she chose to forgive Lowell for it and stay by his side for his treatments.

Season 2

Jackie and Lowell returned from a summer in Europe where they had been testing experimental treatment for his ALS only it was revealed that nothing had really worked and he was living on borrowed time. She was still helping shield Bliss from the crown of Isla Del Cruces and was thrilled when Tess was jealous that she had Bliss’s ear as her own now. She and Lauren rekindled their friendship thanks to Jackson and Dani and the twins. She was devastated when Zerick claimed to be Lowell’s son with her sister Katie she and Lauren made a visit to Katie who named Lowell as Zerick’s father and her rapist. She was unable to forgive Lowell for that sin calling it the last straw in her marriage, she even went as far as to have Rory and Zerick perform a DNA test she was crushed when it was revealed that Zerick was Lowell’s. Afterwards they attended Yasmine’s coming out party to society where Belle Archibald revealed that she was Lowell and Tess’s other daughter, she was beyond crushed and lashed out at both Lowell and Tess. Leading to her having enough of the broken wife routine she had played over the years she went to Julian Sullivan and filed for divorce from Lowell. She heard Dimitri was in town and at Thanksgiving she held him at gunpoint in is suite after learning he had assaulted Selina and threatened Bliss again, going as far as to even taking a shot at him. She even confronted Tess about Zerick and Belle and was hurt when Lowell choose Tess, informing him that if he tried to ruin Jackson’s happiness at his wedding she would in turn burn his house down with Tess inside of it and she was changing her name back to Jackie Davis. At Jackson and Dani’s wedding she was mortified when it was revealed that Zerick was Linus’ son and Lowell lied for his rapist brother. She and Simon went looking for Bliss, she was shocked to run into Bliss holding a gun and Dimitri dead on the floor she took action and helped dump Dimitri’s body in Lake Everest from the Devonshire dock.
