Ivan was born in Orlando, Florida to Alfonso and Francia Castillo to a huge Puerto Rican family. Ivan was the middle son between his elder brother Hector and younger brother Carlos. Growing up and his father was the leader of the Rican King gang he was taught to be hard. Beaten into the gang at only twelve and Ivan took his first life at fourteen. It was his way of life but things were changing in his life. The FBI raided his father the same day his father almost beat him to death. Ivan mother Francia shipped him away from Orlando to her brother Miguel in Atlas Falls. Miguel a hard working man never gave Ivan anything and eventually it pushed Ivan back into the street life. There he met his best friend Money who got him in with the Scottwood Bois. Ivan was crushed when Money and Kendrick were killed and truly feels alone now that his uncle has moved. He has found himself staying in Atlas Falls due to a newfound friendship with Jamal Delacroix and him signing him to his record label.
Season 1
Ivan ran with Kendrick and Jamal for the Scottswood Boys. After witnessing the death of his friend Money and then Kendrick he was tracked down my Jamal. Jamal offered to sign him as new artist for his new label the only catch was he had to end his gang ties.
Season 2
Ivan began recording his first album with Jamal and putting his past with the gang on hold, he butted heads with Rory Devonshire and they two almost fought, with him pointing out he was glad that Yasmine chose Khalil over him. Jamal broke up the fight and warned Ivan he was on thin ice as far as his artist was concerned as he was in partnership with Rory. Simon oversaw the encounter and Ivan realized he was attracted to him, Simon blew him off. Eventually he wore Simon down and the two became lovers almost being caught one time by Val and Jamal. While out for gay night at Club Vertigo Mason advised him that if he was out to hurt or lie to Simon to stop and Ivan exploded at him threatening him. Confused and feeling pressure while out with Jamal at his club a few weeks later he and Rory got into a fist fight on the roof over Kendrick, he was upset and pushed Rory only for Jamal to step in and be the one to fly off the roof. Jamal was revealed to be alive and told Ivan it was the only time he would cover for him with Rory reluctantly agreeing. Simon told Ivan he was sick of the games and the life he was leading as he was unable to leave the violence behind him or come out of the closet. Ivan promised to try and then was at the mansion at the wedding and helped Simon cover up the murder of Dimitri when it happened, afterwards the two agreed to to stay together while Ivan went on tour still keeping their relationship on the down low.
