Forbes Ulysses Montgomery was the first born of Abraham and Nancy Montgomery. A native of Atlas Falls his family genealogy can be traced to the first colonizing families in the city. Growing up Forbes wasn’t rich at all. His father worked in the coal mines while his mother was a teacher at the prestigious Atlas Falls Preparatory Academy. Under his father Forbes never was good enough and often was the punching bag of his drunken stupor. Forbes would watch his father beat his mother mercilessly and as he got older he felt a need to protect his siblings. The only one who wouldn’t see his father’s wrath was Iris his precious daughter. As he got older Forbes excelled in sports feeling like he’d get a chance to get away from Atlas Falls and his family issues. One night would forever change the course of Forbes life when he was fourteen. Coming home he found his father beating Franklin half to death and his mother beaten. Forbes became enraged and pulled out his father shotgun. Through intimidation he got his father to leave the house. What he didn’t know is Iris let him back in the house later that night. Abraham grabbed a bat and broke Forbes leg. This ended his sports career immediately. Not long after his cast was removed a hunting accident would kill Abraham. Forbes would go on to admit he killed his father to his mother. She brutally kicked him out of the house and never spoke to him again until her death.

Forced onto his own Forbes refocused himself as a drifter sleeping from friend house to friend house. Sharing an incredible friendship with Steven Kincaid and eventually Lowell Devonshire. They helped him through high school and eventually he became a scholar much like the other men he was surrounded by. It was his first year in college where he’d meet Audrey Marcel a stunning opera singer who would change his life. He felt like originally Audrey healed his darkness. After graduation he married Audrey and shortly afterwards she was pregnant with their first child. Forbes life was booming due to Lowell Devonshire. Himself, Lowell, Walter, Pierre, and Harvey formed DGI a company that took advantage of the tech boom of the eighties. By the end of the eighties his life would be in shambles. Forbes found out his best friend was having an affair with Audrey. Lowell and Audrey were caught by him and once again the darkness seeped out. Forbes went to Pierre and Harvey asking them to help him stage a coup. Both men went along with it but what they didn’t know is Harvey betrayed them. Lowell would oust Walter first then he called all his other business partners into the office. Harvey stood by Lowell and finally admitted that he betrayed them both. Pierre would go to jail for corporate espionage and Forbes was finished. Right as his daughter Cassandra was born.  Forbes would go onto start a long-term affair with hooker Trisha Kohl. After finding out Trisha was pregnant he offered to take the child. Trisha refused to give him Yasmine and Forbes watched his daughter from a far for years.

For the next five years Forbes fought the ousting at DGI and sued Lowell. Until the case failed and he was left with nothing. Infuriated he berated Audrey after a big show he called her a whore and threatened to take his children. That night Audrey slit her wrist in bathtub and he choose to leave Atlas Falls. With the last of his money he gave his children to Iris his youngest sister to raise in town. Leaving too Europe, Forbes would visit very sporadically and wasn’t involved as he should have been with Philip and Cassie. Using his past business acumen Forbes started a job at OceanTech. After a year he was an executive and it wasn’t long before Forbes took over the entire company. Renaming OceanTech to MontCorp he became one of Europe most profitable CEOs. He would expand his computers, and electronics all over the world opening a major factory in Mexico. He brought millions of jobs and is seen as a very powerful man in Mexico. This was where he’d met Angelica Claudio an influential woman of Polanco. They would marry in an elaborate ceremony where he would go onto have two other children Juaquin and Xiomara Montgomery. After moving his family out of Mexico and back to his Parisian villa Forbes acquired two more companies under his belt. Forbes would meet up with Tess Blisston and Pierre LeClerq and together the came up with a scheme to break Lowell. All up for revenge it they all put their secrets on the table and Forbes handed Zerick on a silver platter. Now after almost twenty years away from Atlas Falls Forbes has returned smelling blood in DGI waters. After the destruction of Lowell, Forbes will stop at nothing to see his rival fall at his hands.

Season 1

Trisha called Forbes after Yasmine was kidnapped informing him that he had stayed away long enough and their daughter needed him in hr life and he took the next plane out to Atlas Falls. Forbes arrived back into town once he heard Philip had been shot by Max, Bliss and Hunter he was furious to find Max in his son’s room and went as far as to try and kill her stopping short of snapping her neck. Afterwards he approached Lowell at the Devonshire mansion assuring him that he would take everything from him like he took Audrey from him all those years ago. Philip informed him of everything going on with Scarlett and in order to protect his son framed her stalking to reflect that she in fact was the one doing the stalking and revealing that she had killed Dante Gonzales to the police. He then met with Yasmine and Trisha in the aftermath of her kidnapping revealing himself as her father shocking Yasmine completely. His last visit was with Ronan Madden who he reluctantly turned over all of Philip’s shares with Club XES and cut ties with the mafia side of the organization.

Season 2

Forbes began stirring up trouble on and off over the summer trying to tie up DGI in frivolous lawsuits to stop the solar panel project from starting when that wasn’t working he informed everyone that he needed to head to London on a business trip. While there he met with the Archibald family and informed Belle that she was the daughter of Lowell Devonshire and Tess Blisston, he then lured her to Atlas Falls where she agreed to his ruse of keeping her identity a secret. Once back in town he met with Tess telling her that he had brought Belle to town to make sure that she complied with their plan to take over DGI and place him back into power. He also began to push Cassie against Jon Harrison as he felt he wasn’t good enough for her and implied that Jon was the father of Miles, encouraging Cassie to lie and keep the secret. He also solidified the story that Lowell was the one that raped Katie years ago to Jackie and Lauren, and made sure that the DNA test that was run came back to say that Lowell was in fact Zerick’s father. His one downfall was Greer blackmailed him into signing over the Chronicle to him to become a part of LeClerq Media and he informed her that in the future she need not be involved in his affairs. He showed up at the annual DGI Summit party and tried to recall history to its attendees and watched in glee as Zerick and Greer were exposed. He then ran into Jackson and Dani while out with Belle and showed her how cruel and awful he could be. Towards the end of the season he was thrilled with Jackie filed for divorce and reminded Tess that he wasn’t to be messed with while he began to get close to his niece Aspen again.
