David is the son of Eugene and Lydia Rhodes he has a brother KC he is the son of a firefighter Eugene and his stay at home wife Lydia he grew up in Trenton, NJ. For the most part David had a normal and happy childhood that was filled with love and normalcy. He focused on his grades and wanting to do what was right and save people, he never wanted to be a firefighter but did take an interest in first aid he knew at the age of thirteen that he wanted to become a doctor. He spent most of his childhood helping wounded animals and creatures, hanging out with his younger brother and earning a scholarship to college. He dated a few girls left and right in high school and nothing too serious he wanted to become a doctor. He accepted a full ride scholarship to Atlas Falls University where he began his undergraduate program and became roommates with Braden Fraiser they were in the same fraternity as well.

He worked hard in college and fell in love with fellow pre-med student Samantha Patterson he and Braden became closer and he even considered being Braden’s best man when Braden almost proposed to Selina. Medical school came and he stayed at AFU to complete his training, things were good and he and Samantha moved in together eventually however he got caught up at work at the hospital and had an affair with a much older woman. Samantha was devastated when Selina Delacroix revealed that he was sleeping with a much older Dr. Ophelia Cameron and left David. David was nearly suspended from the hospital only to be saved by a board vote and he and Ophelia called off their affair. Years later he has worked his way up at St. Christopher’s and finally became Chief of Staff after a board vote two years ago, he and Ophelia remain great friends despite it nearly destroying his career. A few months ago he and Braden’s ex and fellow nurse Tamara Wright began a relationship, hoping to break the news to Braden easily he knows Tamara has a past of drug abuse but he also knows that currently she is on the straight and narrow as well.

Season 1

He was dating Tamara Wright on and off most of the year while focusing on his new job as the Chief of Staff at St. Christopher’s. Eventually he tried to call off the relationship when he discovered that she was using drugs again officially ending it when she went crazy on him and began to harm herself. Lowell also entrusted him to his complete care and he was the one that discovered that Lowell was dying from ALS.

Season 2

With his relationship over with Tamara he began to get close to Lowell’s assistant at the time Talia Rose and the two began a romantic relationship. Things were still going great at the hospital though he advised Lowell that lying to his children about his condition was foolish and something that he should fix. He was shocked and happy at the same time that KC was alive and well and agreed to keep the secret that his brother was alive for the feds. He also hired Belle Archibald at the hospital to do some art therapy with patients including Lowell, he knew that she was attracted him and he did feel almost the same from her. The two kissed at Christmas where he acted on those feelings calling things off before they got too heavy and wondered what he was going to do about Talia. Talia confessed to him at Jackson and Dani’s wedding that she still had feelings for Zerick Davis and they called off their relationship. He then in turn went and found Belle at the reception where they proceeded to make love all night long and then he took her on a trip to St. John afterwards. Unknown to him at the time Jayden Bradshaw arrived in town to start to take his job while he was off with Belle.
