Bliss Contessa Devonshire was born almost a year after her older siblings twins Jackson and Max. The only child of Tess Blisston a spoiled socialite from Atlas Falls who was more interested in the high life than motherhood. Tess traveled to Europe and hired Anna O’Neal who would be a mother to Bliss. Growing up Bliss has always known she was a Devonshire and she saw that she’d never get to have her birthright like the rest. Tess one day heard Bliss calling Anna mother and became enraged. On Bliss tenth birthday she was shipped off to boarding school and Anna was banished. Through letters though she kept in touch with Anna and kept the other woman dear in her heart.

Throughout her time in school Lowell visited her no matter where Tess moved them. Bliss developed a selfish streak due to the fact that she always got what she wanted. Smart and highly brilliant she manipulated those around her like puppets. It wasn’t into she met Hugo Marrick that she fell in love for the first time. Bliss relationship with Hugo was tumultuous at best with lots of passion and fire. It lead to Bliss leaving Europe coming to America where she finished her degree at Yale. Bliss developed a tight relationship with her grandfather which her mother resented deeply. When he died he left his vast fortune to Bliss which infuriated Tess. When her mother asked her for money, Bliss banished her from America at her grandfather’s funeral. Then promptly went to the media and announced she was a Devonshire. Now aiming for her birthright, Bliss will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Season 1

Bliss arrived into town and quickly took the gossip magazines by storm in her quest to join her family, putting a heavy strain on her father’s marriage to Jackie as well. She instantly clashed with her half-sister Max while slightly warming up to her older brothers Jackson and Rory. Her coming out in society was slow and she bumped into Hunter at the Everest Hotel after his father’s disastrous birthday dinner. The two began to get close and even shared a few kisses though Bliss initially refused to have an affair while he was still married to her sister. She also became fast friends to her surprise with Dani Fraiser after not having a girlfriend for most of her life. Eventually Hunter pursued her until she gave into the affair while still hiding her biggest and darkest secret. While in Egypt on a business trip Bliss reunited with Natasha Hassan who encouraged her to tell the complete truth to her friends and family. She thought over the ordeal and was finally confronted by Jackie after her mother arrived in Atlas Falls and dropped the name Dimitri Kavanagh. Bliss confessed to Jackie that she and Dimitri were married and she fled Isla Del Cruces for America and her father’s protection from her husband the crown prince and she left her son Foxworth behind. Jackie was floored and vowed to help her Bliss also confessed the truth to Hunter and Max, including the details of years of abuse. Still upset over Dimitri in the finale Bliss told her father everything and then she and Hunter went to aide Max when she confronted Philip, only so see Hunter shoot Philip and be part of the coverup. Once she and Hunter returned home she was even in for a larger shock when Tess revealed that Dimitri let her take Fox home for a visit.

Season 2

Bliss and Hunter worried that Philip would out Hunter for shooting him and for herself and Max covering up the incident instead Philip vowed a long slow revenge on the two sisters. Bliss was thrilled to have Fox back in her life in Atlas Falls and slowly began to forgive her mother for her years of abandonment. She was horrified when the truth about Zerick was revealed and her father had a stroke and given her past with Dimitri she struggled to forgive her father for his sins. Bliss was terrified of Dimitri and what he would do especially when he cornered her and began to threaten her life that her brother Chauncey immediately put a stop too. Eventually she and Hunter went to Mason Delacroix to ask him how they could possibly counter Dimitri’s attacks and gain custody of Fox. Mason suggested they marry and Hunter happily popped the question for them to become engaged. Bliss was in New York after the night that Tamara was raped by Dimitri horrified at what she had brought to Atlas Falls. Hunter reassured her that nothing would change and the two were married in an intimate wedding on Christmas Eve as to not outdo her brother’s upcoming nuptials. Afterwards she and Hunter fought back seeking full custody of Fox. On the night of her brother’s wedding Dimitri kidnapped her and she played along when he brought her to his collection of women. Fighting back while his back was turned Bliss shot him in self defense. Jackie walked in on the scene and the women that fateful night with the help of Simon and Ivan dumped Dimitri’s body in the lake, covering up his murder and returned to the wedding as if nothing had happened.
