Philip Todd Montgomery was the first born of Forbes and Audrey Montgomery. The prodigal son of Forbes who he idolized since he was a child. Growing up he was very protective over his fragile mother who was heartbroken after Forbes lost it all against Lowell. Many of people never recovered from Lowell betraying them and Audrey was another. After giving birth to Cassie his mother vanished in many ways. When Cassie and he were in high school, Audrey committed suicide. This forever changed Philip he was hardened by the loss of his mother. Cassie and Philip never really liked Kate his father second wife but he dealt with her. Philip did carry on a brief affair with Max in high school which was ruined by Cassie. He forgave his sister for making him lose

Quickly yearning to become his own man and getting his trust fund money from Audrey’s side of the family. Philip opened XES a strip club at the age of twenty-one. He was a young and quickly became wealthy from the club. He also found love in Veronica Nichols who became his true soulmate. They planned on leaving Atlas Falls and Ronan offered him a small fortune for XES. Until he got word Veronica was killed in freak accident. Horrified he hasn’t been able to move on for years. Using women for their bodies he stayed in Atlas Falls and kept his club going. Until he ran back into his old lover Max Devonshire. It was magnetic and this time both of them craved each other. Now Philip’s in love and doesn’t know what to do because Max isn’t leaving Hunter anytime soon.

Season 1

Philip and Max had been carrying on an affair for over a year one that he refused to give up on even when Max was torn. Philip’s need for revenge and the dark secret he harbored with Scarlett Nichols quickly flamed his relationship with Max to turn into an obsession and Max pushing him away. Philip became so obsessed to the point that he showed up at DGI threatening Max with the truth of their affair. Max pushed back and broke into Philip’s condo while he wasn’t there unknown to her that he and Scarlett had been playing shadow games with each other all year. Philip pulled a gun on Max only for Hunter to arrive followed by Bliss where the two fought for the gun. Philip was shoot into a pool of blood, the police were called. Max, Bliss and Hunter decided to lie and cover up what happened and their reasons for being there. Max tried to make amends with Philip when he was out of his surgery only for Cassie to tell her off and then Forbes arrived back in town threatening Max’s life and reigniting the feud with her family. He was the one who tipped the police off about Scarlett’s crimes as well.

Season 2

Philip had been calling and harassing Max through the summer reminding her of the shooting and that she, Bliss and Hunter were all free because he chose to shut his mouth about the shooting. He also told Jon about Cassie’s scheme to keep him out of the loop with Skye and Cassie was livid and he informed his sister she was wasting her time with the cop and the two agreed to go head to head at MontCorp and out of the stripper game. He was indifferent to Yasmine’s place in the family telling her to get onboard or float back into the distance. Going so far as to fake being in a wheelchair when he confronted her at a DGI party and Jackson threatening him to stay away from his sister. His plan was nearly found out by Dru Price but instead the two started a relationship built on lies and sex, him wanting to know what she was really doing in town and she agreed to keep his secret. He took the photo that Dru gave him of a young Steven Kincaid at a KKK rally and showed it at Jackson and Dani’s wedding surprising the guests as well with standing to reveal that he was not injured.
