Rory is the last son of Lowell and Jackie Devonshire and like his siblings before him he was born into the lap of lavish luxury. Rory was very intelligent growing up and while he was loved by both his parents he is well aware that he is the youngest child. Chauncey is his father’s favorite, Jackson his mother and Max as the only girl adored by both. In many ways he has always known he was last on the totem pole and learned at an early age to accept that fact and make due of it the best he could. In high school he was the star of many athletics teams and the guy that every girl wanted and dreamed to date. Like his brothers women and girls were attracted to him because of his name and the money behind it, though some were genuine as well. After high school he went ahead and enrolled in Atlas Falls University with plans to study business, however he was sucked into computer software.

He has always had a knack for computers and how things work early on he would dismantle hs gaming systems and then reassemble them. He also was heavily involved as a child in learning computers and playing around with coding. While on holiday in Paris he ran into his childhood friend Brooke Kincaid and her best friend Val, and he and Val spent the summer together as lovers it was nothing too serious. Once he graduated with his undergraduate he went ahead and applied to his master program to start his MBA. His father also hired him at DGI to begin working in software and development to test start him at DGI, though Rory is certain it is to just prove his worth. His mother has been trying to set him up for over a year to find a debutante high society girl to marry though he only has eyes for a stripper at Philip Montgomery’s club XES named Diamond and he is hell bent on making her his and rescuing her from her stripping days.

Season 1

Rory entered into the rings of the Atlas Falls underworld when he began hanging around Club XES a lot and eyeing the strippers there much to his parents chargins. Eventually he would catch the eye of a stripper named Diamond, he also met a girl named Yasmine Kohl while doing his masters at Atlas Falls University. He quickly put together that Yasmine was in fact Diamond from the club when he brought her to a charity event that his parents were throwing. From there they shared a tempestuous relationship where she was too afraid to go to the police and get out from Ronan Madden’s thumb. It also strained his relationship with Jamal Delacroix when he found out he liked Yasmine too, the two split for a brief time and in his grief he ended up sleeping with Tess Blisston. When Kendrick took matters into his own hands after Ronan’s arrest he was beaten outside the club and was horrified to learn that she and Dani had been kidnapped and his brother’s involvement in it all. Grappling with the fallout of Kendrick’s death he and Yasmine nearly reconciled only for Tess to show up and tell Yasmine about their night together he was crushed when she left.

Season 2

Rory Devonshire was still very hung up on his first true love Yasmine Kohl. It wasn’t until he spotted Yasmine at Jamal Delacroix reopening of Club Vertigo did he move on. Rory began a relationship with the newly returning Aspen Sinclair. Aspen was daughter of DGI executive Blythe Sinclair and novelist Randall Sinclair. Yasmine and Rory’s relationship wasn’t over by a long shot even though they’d moved on leading to them sleeping together on Christmas Eve where Aspen caught them in the act outside of Yasmine’s new brownstone. Rory tried to make his relationship with Aspen work even going to his brother and Dani for advice where they each told him to follow his heart. He was ready to break up with her only for Aspen to very publicly announce she was pregnant at their wedding and that he and Yasmine had slept together. He was floored not even really sure he was ready for a baby or to be a father and was horrified at his honor being tarnished by her revealing he cheated on her. Yasmine washed her hands of him and he did the right thing by sticking with Aspen and his unborn child.
