Lex is the eldest born son of Charles and his late wife Ava born with a silver spoon in his life he quickly became his mother’s favorite child a bond that never ceased until her death. Lex has always been smart and has always had a sense to be cunning as well. Something that in his later years suited him well when he entered law school. Growing up as the son of a senator and later Governor he is and has always been used to the spotlight politically. He opted to do his undergraduate studies at Carnegie Mellon and also attended law school there. He was in his third and final year of law school when his father ran for Governor and he acted on long time feelings he had for his sister’s best friend Dani. His mother and father approved of the match and they were quickly the couple to watch in Pittsburgh high society their relationship lasted almost three years.
Two years into the relationship his mother got very sick and on her death bed she told him to make it right with Dani feeling the pressure to marry he proposed. His life quickly spiraled out of control with that as he began to do more and more work for the conglomerate and his father. He started a side relationship with an intern on his father’s campaign trail Maggie Thorpe. He got tangled in with Maggie and the more dangerous side of his father’s connections to the point that he pushed Dani away emotionally and physically. By the time Dani caught them it was too late and he was publicly shamed in high society and by his father and she left him. Instead of dealing with his mother’s death and what he did he simply resorted to new lovers and doing even more shady things to help his family one being blackmailing Skye into signing over custody of her son to his sister and brother in law and then bedding her.
Season 1
Lex appeared briefly at Club Vertigo for Chauncey’s wedding where he tracked a drunk Dani down at the bar coming onto her and belittling her about their past and her current relationship with Jackson. Later that evening Jackson fought him shoving him and telling him to stay away from Dani before punching him and knocking him out. Later at Walter’s election party at the Pub he approached Dani again letting her know he was jealous that she was with Jackson and informing her he was still hurt about their falling out. Dani slapped him publicly for the incident and he returned to New York.
Season 2
Lex appeared on and off over the season in a legal capacity for his father in order to by the Everest Ski Resort from Brenda and the rundown hotel LaGordia to put it into the Hessington Conglomerate under a revamped Crestwood hotel. It was also revealed that he had an office in New York and then was summoned back to Atlas Falls when his mentor Jullian O’Sullivan wanted him at his firm, thanks to his father. He stuck up for his sister and Ryan with the entire custody issue with Miles informing Jon that if he wanted to contest it they could in court while giving Skye the side eye to get out of town. On Christmas eve he drove by the Devonshire estate catching a glimpse of Dani with Jackson and was hurt about losing her still deciding to not attend her wedding. Instead he spent the evening with Aspen Sinclair in a hotel room where they had a one night stand.
